COMPREHENSIVE EYE EXAMINATIONS

Comprehensive eye examinations are available for people of all ages.

Every child should have an eye examination at 6 months of age, at age 3, and again before school begins according to the American Optometric Association. Annual eye examinations help detect vision inadequacies and binocular vision disorders which may play a role in a child’s development and academics. Eye exams are not just about “which is better, 1 or 2”. The eyes can tell a lot about the entire body. That’s why at our office we perform various tests checking blood pressure, vision, and eye health. Annual eye examinations can help detect corneal disorders, macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, cancers, neurological and autoimmune conditions. Our Doctors of Optometry are trained and licensed to diagnose and treat eye diseases such as infections, styes, and dry eye. Contact lens examinations are also available for basic and hard-to-fit eyes. We offer pre- and post-operative care for procedures such as LASIK and cataracts. Our office accepts Vision Service Plan (VSP), Medicare and Care Credit. Since every insurance plan is unique, please contact the staff regarding insurance questions. Ask about our “Optx Vision Care Membership” which offers an alternative to insurance and provides discounts that you would not otherwise receive.
